Employees of the Year
Smita Ghoorbin was elected the Employee of the Year 2007 by the Jury for her outstanding performance during the year.
Smita was the CuBE winner in Quarter 2 when she took an order from a customer who wanted to celebrate his son’s birthday. The restaurant was not yet open but she accepted to take the order.
Smita’s dedication to customer service could be seen in the daily performance of her duties. She always greets the customer with a Smile.
She has always helped her customers, for example she ran after customers who had left behind their bag, their Bus Pass or their Hotel Room keys.
She is always ready to help children. She was nominated for keeping a child who had lost his parents in the shopping area and she once helped a child by putting ice his/her injury. She even proposed to heat the baby’s food while the parents had their meal.
Michael Volcy was nominated three times and once together with his team. Michael is the winner in Quarter 1 when he took the initiative to decorate the birthday cake of a young boy since the mother had not had time to do it.
He also was a team winner in quarter 4 when the team was congratulated by the APEIM staff who had come to celebrate the birthday of their manager.
Francois Salva is well known by his colleagues for being jovial, patient and always in a good mood. Francois was nominated four times and was the winner in quarter 2 and quarter 4.
Francois is mentioned as being the first person that customers look for when they need help or advice and is known for his excellent customer contact. He was also nominated for his knowledge of the front desk and his readiness to help even when he is not in the office.
