Happy World supports the National Code of Corporate Governance. Independent and non-independent directors are elected in a quest for the right balance in competencies and experience. In a typical year, directors meet formally on six to eight occasions besides the work done in committees.
He is a Sloan Fellow of the London Business School since 1981. He is a director of the following listed companies on the Stock Exchange: Caudan Development Ltd, Ipro Growth Fund Ltd.
He held senior management responsibilities at The Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd up to 31 December 2009. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Mastercard International Inc for Middle East and Africa, and Chairman of Investec Bank in Mauritius.
Currently, he is Chairman for the Paradise Cove Hotel in Mauritius. He was formerly based in Paris in the role of Managing Director - Europe of 'Le Méridien' Hotel Group.
He is an economics graduate from the London School of Economics and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Antoine Seeyave - Chairman
Antoine was appointed a director on 20 August 2004. He is a member of the Governance Committee of the Board and chairs the Supervisory and Monitoring Committee.He is a Sloan Fellow of the London Business School since 1981. Angelo Létimier - Independent Director
Angelo was appointed a director on 04 November 2004. He holds an independent role, and chairs the Audit Committee of the Board.He held senior management responsibilities at The Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd up to 31 December 2009. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Mastercard International Inc for Middle East and Africa, and Chairman of Investec Bank in Mauritius.
Jacques Motet - Independent Director
A director since 11 October 2004, Jacques holds an independent role. He chairs the Governance Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee.Currently, he is Chairman for the Paradise Cove Hotel in Mauritius. He was formerly based in Paris in the role of Managing Director - Europe of 'Le Méridien' Hotel Group.
Andre Chung Shui - Managing Director
Andre became Managing Director since 1 July 2009 and was appointed a Director on 6 November 2007 in an executive capacity. He joined the group in 1992. He is a member of the Supervisory and Monitoring Committee of the Board.He is an economics graduate from the London School of Economics and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
